During the 10th meeting of the Group of Friends on Water and Peace on 3 October 2019 in Geneva, the GoF decided to release a joint statement during the Budapest Water Summit - Prevening Water Crisis (Budapest, 15-17 October 2019).

The engagement of the Geneva Water Hub at the Budapest Water Summit consistes in two events.

  • A closed session alowing the panelists to take stock of the follow up activities after the Global High-Level Panel on Water and Peace recommendations.
  • A public side event aiming to brief the public on the main outcomes of the closed morning session and to officially launch the Global Observatory on Water and Peace as well as the newest version of the "A Matter of Survival" report in Arabic.
