L'eau, les droits de l'homme et le droit international humanitaire
L'événement parallèle "'Water, Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law'" est organisé par le Geneva Water Hub, les Missions permanentes du Togo et du Burkina Faso auprès des Nations Unies ainsi que l'Organisation internationale de la Francophonie. Elle aura lieu pendant la 43ème session du Conseil des droits de l'homme et abordera le droit à l'accès à l'eau potable et à l'assainissement en vertu du droit international des droits de l'homme et du droit international humanitaire et présentera la"Liste de principes de Genève sur la protection des infrastructures de l'eau".
The following issues will be addressed:
- How is access to safe drinking water and sanitation protected under international human rights law?
- What has been the evolvement, in practical terms, of the engagements of both the United Nations General Assembly and the Human Rights Council in this field?
- How is access to safe drinking water and sanitation protected under international humanitarian law?
- What is the content of the Geneva List of Principles on the Protection of Water Infrastructure?
Cet événement parallèle soulignera l'importance du respect des droits à l'eau et à l'assainissement pendant les conflits armés. Il permettra un échange de vues entre le groupe africain au Conseil des droits de l'homme, d'autres délégations d'États et des acteurs des Nations unies.
