Panel mondial de haut niveau sur l'eau et la paix

Le Panel mondial de haut niveau sur l'eau et la paix a été inauguré le 16 novembre 2015 à Genève avec pour mission d'élaborer des propositions visant à renforcer le cadre mondial de prévention et de résolution des conflits liés à l'eau.

The Global High-Level Panel on Water and Peace was inaugurated on 16 November 2015 in Geneva with the mission of developing proposals to strengthen the global framework for preventing and resolving water-related conflicts. It aimed to promote the use of water as a pivotal factor in peacebuilding efforts and elevate the significance of water issues in national and global policymaking.

In collaboration with the Strategic Foresight Group and supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), the Geneva Water Hub served as the secretariat for the Global High-Level Panel on Water and Peace. The Panel convened members from Cambodia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Estonia, France, Ghana, Hungary, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Morocco, Oman, Senegal, Slovenia, Spain, and Switzerland.

The Panel convened on four occasions: in Geneva, Switzerland; Dakar, Senegal; San José, Costa Rica; and Amman, Jordan. During each meeting, regional experts were engaged to enrich the Panel's discussions. Together, the Panel members authored the visionary and groundbreaking "A Matter of Survival" report.
