The Geneva Water Hub, in collaboration with the International Institute of Humanitarian Law, has developed a new e-learning course which aims to raise awareness and deepen understanding of the critical issue surrounding the protection of water and water-related infrastructure in armed conflicts.

The Geneva Water Hub is pleased to announce the development of our new e-learning course, "Protection of Water in Armed Conflicts as a Means for Lasting Peace," in collaboration with the International Institute of Humanitarian Law.

This course is designed to raise awareness and deepen understanding of the critical issue surrounding the protection of water and water-related infrastructure in armed conflicts. Participants will explore the legal implications of military operations on civilians and the environment, with a particular focus on water resources. 

Principally tailored for military officers, government officials, international organization staff, civil society organization representatives, law enforcement officers, humanitarians, and academics, this course offers a unique opportunity to engage with key legal concepts and practical considerations related to water protection in conflict settings.
